Sedona, Arizona - I have been wondering about this place
since I first visited Phoenix several years ago. My husband promised me to take me there to
see the beautiful red mountains. This weekend
he finally agreed, so we made the two hour drive to Sedona.
Our ride was pleasant and enjoyable because we saw many
unusual desert plants and shrubs. I had
fun taking pictures along the way. As we
got closer to Sedona, the rock formations became more unusual and colored in
various shades of red. I saw some people
in Sedona rock climbing and biking while others just enjoyed the hiking.
It was worth a drive from Phoenix. Sedona really has a special, spiritual
feeling to it. I guess that is why so
many artists and writers call Sedona home.
I’m sure sunset’s time is
particularly magnificent as well. If you
plan to stay overnight in Sedona there are also hotels around the area. When
you plan a drive to Sedona better check the weather first so you won’t be
disappointed. The rock color really
shows on a sunny day.
