My Visit in Cebu

On the day of February 24, 2012, I meet my "girl like" friend in the airport NAIA. He and I flew to Cebu together to play badminton tournament. Our flight was an hour late; we were hungry and anxious for our coming game the next day. Once we settled our things in the hotel in Cebu, we quickly grabbed something to eat. After eating we went to the badminton venue to check out our time slot for the tournament.

At the tournament, I didn’t expect that there would be so many participants. At the tournament, we were disappointed because we did not make the cut and have a chance to play in the finals. Though we lost, we still had fun playing the game. It was nice to see some old friends that I knew when I was living in Cebu.

In the third day of my stay, I brought my friend to visit Plantation Bay Hotel. At breakfast, I ordered an omelet while Cindy and Markie ordered tapa. After eating I took pictures of Markie at several locations around the resort that he could show his friend back in Manila.

In the morning of the fourth day, my friend Markie wanted to buy some pasalubong to bring home. We went to SM to buy some delicacies. We walked around SM to check out what other stores for some pasalubong t-shirt. Once Markie’s shopping was complete, we headed out of SM for lunch. We ate at C&T Lechon, at the back of SM. Markie thought it was the best lechon he ever tasted.

February 28, is the day for my check out, I slept late and had a hard time getting up. I skipped breakfast and just continued sleeping until my check out time. Around 10:30 am, I began to pack my things and get ready for check out at 12 noon. After checked out, I left my luggage at the hotel lobby and went to Ayala Mall for lunch. After lunch, I still had so much time to kill because my flight was not until late that afternoon. So, I went to use the internet café and played my favorite game on Facebook.

At exactly three pm, I left Ayala Mall to pick up my luggage at the hotel lobby and go directly to the airport. Traffic was a bit heavy at that time - it took 45 minutes travelling time to the airport. It was exactly 4 pm when I got to the check-in counter. I was so shocked when the guy from PAL told me that I already missed my flight. My flight was supposed to be at 3:45 but I got there at 4 pm! I was really, really late already. Lucky the PAL agent agreed to still put me on the 3:45 flight. I totally forgot about my departure time. I thought I was looking at the right time on my itinerary, but I was wrong. I was looking at the arrival time in Manila rather than the departure time. I will never forget this experience! I almost missed my flight and would have had to pay an additional 2,500 pesos to rebook my ticket.
